on friday march 14th we have our first south node eclipse in virgo, a full moon no less, anddddd… it’s all about saturn. the sun will be freshly separated from the final saturn cazimi in pisces and sandwiched in between saturn and the north node.

this is as much a punctuation mark on the end of saturn’s 2 year transit thru pisces as it is the beginning of our eclipse season. saturn is getting ready to move on with it’s initial entrance into aries coming at the end of may. saturn transits unfold in three stages: confrontation with the existing structures, demolition of what cannot withstand pressure testing, and the rebuild in the aftermath (you are here).

so really, this eclipse is here to remove rubble + clear away the debris of what has been brought down and make space for new foundations (and new miracles). there’s a certain effervescence forecast for pisces in the second half of the year when the mermaid realm will be free of saturn + neptune (!!!), hosting north node eclipses and ruled by an exalted, abundant jupiter in cancer. pretty sure you’ll want to make physical and psychic space for what’s to come and it’s this eclipse that sets that clearing in motion.

which makes this eclipse's testimony all the more poetic: a full moon = completion. virgo + ketu = digestion. watery pisces = the subconscious + emotional self. to clear space for truly new experiences to emerge, free from the influence of unprocessed emotions, you must chew and swallow whatever has occurred since saturn first entered pisces in march 2023. you will need the nutrient dense wisdom to grow strong new structures and you will need to digest + eliminate whatever’s left to free the psychic energy held within. you’re gonna want that for where we’re headed next. (it’s aries).

while pisces has born the pressure of these two heavyweight transits (saturn in pisces since march 2023 and neptune since february 2012) it is virgo that has been forced to over compensate, to assume its share of the tension, and prevent a piscean collapse. neptune is a transpersonal planet and its illusory effects have been aimed more squarely at the collective than the individual but 12 years later, this is just culture now, and no one really escapes it.

mass media boundaries collapsed entirely. social media platforms emerged as the ultimate pisces/neptune third spaces where individual identity dissolved into the anonymous collective. the boundaries between news and entertainment, fact and fiction, personal and public have all blurred beyond recognition possibly never to return again.

the spiritual marketplace is booming (with spiritual materialism flourishing right alongside it). meditation, yoga, mindfulness, and alllll manner of occult(ish) larps have entered mainstream consciousness but only after being thoroughly commodified + watered down. spiritual bypassing is no longer a bug; it's a feature—a collective shadow response (cough, cough virgo) to increasing anxiety.

it's at the tail end of this process that saturn, god of endings, entered in 2023 with the unenviable task of fact-checking the new normal neptune tried to install, establishing the beginnings of a baseline reality that could serve as a life raft while saturn pushed neptune to WRAP IT UP ALREADY.

saturn transits unfold in three stages: confrontation with existing (or in neptune's case, non-existent) structures, demolition of what cannot withstand saturnian pressure tests, and the rebuild in the aftermath. this eclipse meets saturn traversing the final 10 degrees of the sign—we are in the end game. it's time for the final confrontations between these two as they make their moves into aries and a whole new era of individual and collective character arcs ensue.

so saturn has been delivering the necessary confrontations with Reality to prevent neptune's continued dissolution from becoming permanent fragmentation (neptune's shadow only lifts when illusion faces reality and survives the encounter). for the next year or so, saturn is the troll under the bridge allowing only authentic creative/spiritual calls to cross into aries for activation, denying entry to all the pretty little neptunian deceptions that cannot withstand the scrutiny of The Real.

while pisces drowned under neptune's tides and saturn's pressure, virgo's earthy, mercury-ruled intelligence attempted to think its way through what could only be felt. pisces dissolved? virgo categorized. boundaries between fantasy and reality disappeared? virgo constructed rigid replacements like hyper analysis disguised as discernment and endless taxonomies of experience guaranteed to keep you from actually experiencing anything. perfectionistic systems promising control where none exists—color-coded calendars! productivity apps! and plenty of optimization hacks that exhausted far more life force than they ever freed.

as the body became the last clear boundary when all others dissolved, purity cultures around food, fitness, love and consumption erupted everywhere. ahh yes, virgo’s well worn shadowy illusions of perfect orthorexic control that will guarantee protection from the chaotic world (and maybe kill you in the process).

and last but not least- the virgoan shadow specialty: hypercritical scrutiny and judgment as a defense against the uncertain and the unknown. if you can find what's wrong with everything, perhaps you won't be swept away by it. not a lot of room for miracles or wonder under those conditions now is there?

which brings us to this simple truth; profound shifts quite often require complete depletion of any existing copium/compensations that are standing in the way of them. here the impressive + resourceful virgoan ego must exhaust this carefully curated repertoire + do all its little dances before the deeper (piscean) self is allowed to introduce new possibilities. sometimes the resistance needs to play out fully before authentic surrender ensues (consider the rock + the hard place) and it is very likely that this is close to where you currently find yourself in the house that virgo rules for you.

saturn transits create this exhaustion purposefully and eclipses accelerate the process. the nodes pull us toward evolution through this very churning - starving the south node’s comfort seeking patterns until there is no (desirable) choice but to explore the north node’s siren call into the unknown. this is a GOOD thing. this is medicine, this is the balm and the end result is the virgoan archetype in your life relieved + restored. the pacing neurotic becomes the charmingly obsessed creative once more as virgo the mage, virgo the muse, virgo the alchemist, virgo the abundant takes the helm. smells like heaven to me!

still, this will not happen overnight. the changes initiated now will likely be taking on their final(ish) shape with the 09/21/25 new moon eclipse in virgo which will be exactly opposed saturn rx in the final degree of pisces (with plenty of aries action in between). nature is healing but she needs time.

I am not a fan of big performative moves during eclipses, I think alignment and attunement are far, far more magically effective (because that always seems to be the question around here). prayer, mantra, meditation, body work, art, creation, LOVE, journaling, lots and lots of time in nature, salt baths, CLEAN, adorn, design. eclipses represent times where the earth sun and moon will all be in exact alignment which translates in the mortal realm to an unusually potent window for full alignment of spirit/body/soul, already that’s quite a lot of woo to work with, if you know what you’re doing anyways.

both saturn and the south node are involved tho, venus is retrograde and separations of every order could be in the cards. if these are your fortunes FEEL THE FEELINGS. whatever you have to do, stop everything, light your altar and give it to ketu. tbh this is quite possibly the most auspicious time you could have a breakup, the skies are literally waiting to deliver your timeline pivot. but cut no corners! the healing must be raw and real. <rant over>

finally, this eclipse will be answered by an intense out of sign solar eclipse in aries on 3/29/25. where this eclipse is finishing up saturn’s work and handing the reins to the north node, that eclipse will be closing out the rahuvian agenda to prepare the way for saturn’s imminently malefic arrival. all of the aries activations we have now are doing the same, setting the scene for saturn, and we’ll be discussing this shortly, stay tuned.
